What is Solid Surface material?

Solid Surface is the collective name for composite materials that are colored throughout the mass. They are solid and homogeneous and can be used for demanding applications.

All Solid Surface products have Aluminum Trihydrate (ATH) as the base component. As a second component and binder, acrylic or polyester resins are used.

Aluminum hydroxide gives the material great stiffness and also makes it more heat resistant than other plastics.

Acrylic and/or polyester provide flexibility, which mainly results in good workability, high impact resistance, and strength.

The good properties of Solid Surface include:

Maintaining Solid Surface material

For normal cleaning, you can use a natural cleaning agent, such as green soap or cleaning vinegar. If a scratch occurs in the material, you can use a sponge and Cif to 'polish' the material again. This can be done by making circular movements over the surface. Then rinse the cleaned surface thoroughly with lukewarm water and dry with a clean, soft cloth.
