What is the Solid Surface material?

Solid Surface is the collective name for composite materials that are colored throughout. They are solid and homogeneous and can be used for demanding applications.

All Solid Surface products have Aluminum Trihydrate (ATH) as their main component. As a second component and binding agent, either acrylic or polyester resins are used.

Aluminum hydroxide gives the material great rigidity and also makes it more heat-resistant than other plastics.

Acrylic and/or polyester provides flexibility that mainly results in good workability and high impact resistance and strength.

The good properties of Solid Surface include:

Maintaining the Solid Surface material

For regular cleaning, you can use a natural cleaning agent, such as green soap or cleaning vinegar. If a small scratch occurs in the material, you can use a sponge and Cif to 'polish' the material again. This can be done by making circular movements over the surface. Then rinse the cleaned surface thoroughly with lukewarm water and dry with a clean soft cloth.
