What is Solid Surface material?

Solid Surface is the collective name for composite materials that are colored throughout the mass. They are solid and homogeneous and can be used for demanding applications.

All Solid Surface products have Aluminum Trihydrate (ATH) as their base component. As a second component and binder, acrylic or polyester resins are used.

Aluminum hydroxide gives the material great stiffness and also ensures that it is more heat-resistant than other plastics.

Acrylic and/or polyester provides flexibility, which mainly results in good workability, high impact resistance, and strength.

Maintaining Solid Surface material

For regular cleaning, you can use a natural cleaning agent, such as green soap or cleaning vinegar. If a small scratch occurs in the material, you can 'polish' the material again by using a sponge and Cif. This can be done by making circular movements over the surface. Then rinse the cleaned surface thoroughly with lukewarm water and dry with a clean soft cloth.
