What is Solid Surface material?

Solid Surface is the collective name for composite materials that are colored throughout the mass. They are solid and homogeneous and can be used for demanding applications.

All Solid Surface products have Aluminium trihydrate (ATH) as their basic component. As a second component and binder, acrylic or polyester resins are used.

Aluminum hydroxide provides the material with great rigidity and also ensures that it is more heat resistant than other plastics.

Acrylic and/or polyester provide flexibility, which mainly results in good workability and high impact resistance and strength.

Maintaining Solid Surface material

For regular cleaning, you can use a natural cleaning agent, such as green soap or cleaning vinegar. If a scratch occurs in the material, you can 'polish' the material again by using a sponge and Cif. This can be done by making circular movements over the surface. Then thoroughly rinse the cleaned surface with lukewarm water and dry it with a clean soft cloth.
