What is Solid Surface material?

Solid Surface is a collective name for composite materials that are colored throughout the mass. They are solid and homogeneous and can be used for demanding applications.

All Solid Surface products have aluminum trihydrate (ATH) as their base component. As a second component and binder, acrylic or polyester resins are used.

Aluminum hydroxide provides the material with great rigidity and also ensures that it is more heat resistant than other plastics.

Acrylic and/or polyester gives flexibility, resulting in good workability, high impact resistance, and strength.

Maintaining Solid Surface material

For regular cleaning, you can use a natural cleaning agent, such as green soap or vinegar. If a scratch occurs in the material, you can use a sponge and Cif to 'polish' the material again. This can be done by making circular motions over the surface. Then thoroughly rinse the cleaned surface with lukewarm water and dry it with a clean, soft cloth.
