Which black kitchen sink should I choose?

How do I choose the right Black sink and what should I look out for?

Black sinks can be bought from different materials, but which sink is the most durable. We get this question from customers every day. To give you good advice here, here is an overview of durability.

With spot number 1 are the granite and quartz black sinks. The crushed stone is poured into a mould with glue and hardened into a beautiful sink. The downside is that with some brands, the colours are not completely black and contain a glitter or white speckles. This is the case with the brands Franke, Reginox, Lorreine and Caressi. If you want a completely black sink, we recommend the GraniteMy, which is completely black without any nuances in the material. Granite and Quartz black sinks are black through and through without an extra layer on the material so that it cannot come off.

At number 2 are the PVD sinks. PVD is a very hard coating that is also used on cutlery, among other things. The disadvantage is that they are pricey and the colour is not completely black.

At number 3 is the enamel sink. The sink can be stainless steel or steel with an enamel coating on it. Enamel is very hard and scratch-resistant, making the sink hufterproof. The disadvantage of this is that the colour is silk gloss and not completely matt.

Last are the coated black sinks. As it is a thin and fragile layer, we do recommend putting a protective mat on the bottom of the sink.
